The Foundation for Quality Care, Incorporated and the New York State Health Facilities Association recently sponsored the “Art from the Heart” program, designed to recognize artists who are residents of NYSHFA member facilities. George Napolitano of the Northeast Center for Special Care in Lake Katrine was selected by a distinguished panel of jurists to display his work entitled “Violin Player” at a special exhibit at the Albany Institute of History and Art. Assemblymember Kevin Cahill was recently invited to the Northeast Center to meet with Mr. Napolitano and accept this drawing on loan for his Kingston District Office.
An ardent supporter of the Arts, Mr. Cahill has added this to the growing collection he has displayed in his Kingston Office. Comprised of a variety of techniques and styles, these pieces are on loan from various local artists, many of whom are members of the Arts Society of Kingston.
“Visitors to my office, as well as my staff and I, thoroughly enjoy the vibrant, stunning, diverse works that grace our space. I am appreciative of the generosity of our local artists in loaning their work and I encourage the general public to stop by at their convenience and take a moment to view this spectrum of talents,” Mr. Cahill offered.
Assemblymember Cahill’s Kingston District Office is located at 1 Albany Avenue in Kingston and is open to the public daily from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. His staff can be reached at (845) 338-9610.
