Assemblymember Cahill Announces Rapid Response Team To Conduct Employment Seminars In Ellenville

On Thursday, July 23rd, in response to the recent closing of the Nevele Hotel, the Department of Labor will be sending a team to the Village of Ellenville to assist with unemployment insurance questions, labor wage complaints and workforce improvement training programs. Two service orientation sessions will be held in the lunchroom of the Trudy Resnick Farber Building, located at 50 Center Street in Ellenville. The first session will be from 10:00 am to 11:30 am and the second session is scheduled for 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm. The events are open to the public; everyone who has been impacted by the economic downturn is encouraged to attend.
Department staff will be distributing unemployment information and on hand will be employment counselors, a labor standards investigator, a labor market analyst and representatives from the Bureau of Immigrant Workers Rights and the New York State Department of Health.
