Cahill Reminds Constituents That His Office Can Provide State Tax Forms and Booklets
Forms and instructions can be picked up or mailed
February 23, 2010

Kingston – Assemblymember Kevin Cahill (D-Ulster, Dutchess) today offered a reminder to his district constituents that New York State tax forms are available in his Kingston district office, located at One Albany Avenue, suite G-4 in the Governor Clinton building.

“I encourage my constituents to file their tax returns early so they can get their hard earned refunds,” said Assemblymember Cahill. “Last week, the Governor proposed holding back some refunds as a budget-gap ‘quick fix.’ I responded that this would directly harm taxpayers and businesses at a time when they can least afford it. In these trying times our economy desperately needs the boost in consumer spending that historically follows tax refund season.”

The Assemblymember’s district office has the following forms available;

  • IT-150 and Instructions (short form)
  • IT-2 and Instructions (W-2 form)
  • IT-201 (long form)
  • IT-203 and Instructions (for non-residents and part-time residents)

The Governor Clinton building is located at the intersection of Albany Avenue, Clinton Avenue and Pearl Street in uptown Kingston. Suite G-4 is on the ground floor of the far-left entrance, making it easy for seniors to stop in. The office staff is ready to mail forms to constituents who request this service via phone or email. Call the District Office at 845-338-9610 or e-mail to cahillk@assembly.state.ny.us.

Forms ordered directly from the State Department of Taxation and Finance take two weeks to be mailed. However, forms can be downloaded online at www.nystax.gov. If you have a hearing or speech impairment and have access to a TTY text telephone order by calling 800-634-2110.

“When many families are stretched to the limit paying for housing, food and health care, tax refunds can be a life-line” said Assemblymember Cahill. “I will continue to fight for New Yorkers who want leadership, not political games played with their hard earned tax refunds.”
