“I am privileged to have shared in the celebrations of this special day with our state’s military students,” said Assemblymember Cahill. “The unwavering dedication of these fine young men and women to New York and our nation is invaluable. I am proud to stand along side these upstanding individuals to honor their achievements.”
Among those in attendance was fellow Kingstonian Cadet Patrick Salzmann Arlantico. Patrick is a member of the West Point Military Academy’s Class of 2011 where he is majoring in International Law and Nuclear Energy. He graduated Kingston High School with the class of 2006 as an All-American and 1st Team All-Section Attackman on the Men’s Lacrosse team. Patrick comes from a military family as his Grandfather served in the Army Air Corps and was a Prisoner of War during World War II. Once his time at West Point is completed, Cadet Arlantico will move on to Fort Benning in Georgia and Fort Bliss in Texas where he will join the Infantry.
“Patrick Arlantico is an excellent student, athlete, and cadet,” said Assemblymember Cahill. “He is an individual of high moral character and I am proud to have him represent our hometown of Kingston at West Point.”
