(Kingston) Assemblymember Cahill (D-Ulster, Dutchess) would like to remind area residents that blockbuster movies are coming to a park near you. The Kingston Parks and Recreation presents Movies Under the Stars.
“Theme park admission costs are outrageously high. Coupled with gas prices, snacks, drinks and souvenirs, a single day of fun can cost a family of four hundreds of dollars,” said Assemblymember Cahill. “This summer before you pack the car, drive for miles and wait in line for what seems like hours in the sun, check out the amazing entertainment right here in Ulster County.”
Kingston Parks Movies Under the Stars is a special project of the Friends of Kingston Parks and Recreation with support from the Kingston Land Trust, Kingston Cares, and a dedicated group of community volunteers who want to provide inexpensive fun for the whole family this summer while utilizing one of our greatest assets-our parks. “When we go to the movies we leave our troubles at the door and for those couple of hours we get lost in the characters and their stories. Movies allow us to take our family on journeys through time in search of gold, pirates, love and even a little adventure. Whether we are soaring through the sky with Superman or swimming down below with Nemo, always remember you can find your way home by following the yellow brick road,” said Assemblymember Cahill.
