"It’s a satisfying moment to see a tax relief measure like the property tax cap be signed into law by the governor. All too often in New York, Albany passes legislation that imposes more restraints and burdens on residents, so the cap gives us a great cause to celebrate, as it is a step forward in the right direction for real property tax relief.
"I implore the governor to hesitate no longer on implementing mandate relief for schools and local governments in order to provide real and lasting property tax relief for New Yorkers. I believe in it so strongly that I am sponsoring a comprehensive unfunded mandate relief bill and I’d like for Cuomo to join me in working on the legislation."
