Assemblyman Marc W. Butler (R,C,I - Newport) today announced his appointment by Minority Leader James N. Tedisco (R,C,I – Schenectady-Saratoga) to the Assembly Minority Task Force on Small Business.
“The growth and prosperity of the upstate economy is directly connected to the vitality of the small business community. Tragically, many government policies impede the development of small business. The Task Force will gather input on how best to remove those impediments and encourage the growth of family-owned and other small businesses,” said Butler.
The Assembly Minority Task Force on Small Business will work to retain and strengthen New York’s small business community. Members will meet with local business owners across New York to discuss the effects state policies have on the industry and solicit feedback on Assembly minority small business legislation.
Assemblyman Butler currently serves as the Ranking minority member of the Assembly Economic Development, Job Creation, Commerce and Industry committee and as a member of the Assembly committees on Agriculture, Higher Education and Insurance.
