Butler Aims To Stop Cyber-bullying, Votes In Support Of Change
Statement from Assemblyman Marc W. Butler (R,C,I-Newport)
June 18, 2012
“Bullying can be devastating for our children, shaking the very security they need for growth and confidence, and that’s why we need to recognize and stop its newly pervasive form – cyber-bullying. It’s not like when we were kids where we could walk away from it off the playground; now bullies use technology to harass children at all hours of the day.
“Nearly a third of our kids have experienced this type of bullying. That’s why it’s important we work with schools and parents to help identify, correct and prevent all forms of bullying, including cyber-bullying.”
