Johns: Budget Invests In New York’s Economy
Statement from Assemblyman Mark Johns (R,C-Webster) on the 2012-13 Enacted State Budget
March 30, 2012
“We’ve passed a budget that, overall, spends less than last year. Where we did spend money, it was for the right things. For example, we’re investing $4.6 billion in construction jobs to improve our transportation infrastructure and over $800 million in economic development programs to help our job creators. I’m pleased that Albany put aside partisan politics for the good of New York residents, kept spending low to avoid tax increases and worked together in a transparent manner to strengthen the Empire State’s economy.”
