Assemblyman Mark Johns Encourages Residents To Observe Emergency Preparedness Month

September is National Preparedness Month for Emergency and Natural Disasters

Assemblyman Mark Johns (R,C,I-Webster) today reminds residents that September is National Preparedness Month and encourages all residents to be prepared for the next emergency or natural disaster. The campaign, sponsored by the American Red Cross, gives New Yorkers a variety of topics and disasters to prepare for and provides plans, guides and tools that can be used for homes, workplaces and schools.

“Disasters and emergencies can happen at a moment’s notice so we all should be prepared to keep our families and loved ones safe,” said Assemblyman Johns. “This campaign provides a wealth of information that can help our entire community plan for an emergency and/or natural disaster. Planning ahead will make a great difference to your family and property the next time a disaster strikes.”
