Cusick Helps Introduce P.J.’s Law
February 16, 2006

Assemblyman Michael Cusick (left) joined colleague Assemblyman Peter M. Rivera (center) to introduce “P.J.’s Law.” This legislation is offered in honor P.J. Rossi, an autistic Staten Island child who was humiliated and tormented by a bus driver and matron during his ride to school. The bill would require specialized training for school bus staffs, and also mandate that instances of child abuse are reported. Also joining Cusick were P.J.’s mother, Lisa Rossi (right), as well as other family members and child autism advocates from across New York City.
