Assemblyman Michael A. Montesano (R,C,I- Glen Head) recently met with Arjun Mainali, a Hicksville resident, at the Everett Road Red Cross in Albany to congratulate the blood donor on his 100th gift to patients and families in need. Mr. Mainali was joined by his family for the visit, which fell on his birthday. With blood banks throughout the state running low, Assemblyman Montesano noted the importance of blood donation and the dedication of donors like Mr. Mainali. “Giving blood saves lives,” said Montesano. “I congratulate Mr. Mainali on these 100 acts of lifesaving generosity. He is a shining example of the commitment and kindness that makes New York a great state to live in and raise a family. This is a wonderful opportunity to highlight the continued need for blood donations and wish Mr. Mainali a very happy birthday.” Assemblyman Montesano also will be hosting a blood drive on July 11 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Gold Coast Public Library Annex Room, 40 Railroad Avenue, Glen Head, New York. For those interested in more information on the upcoming blood drive or to set up an appointment, please call Assemblyman Montesano’s Hicksville office at 516-937-3571.
