Assemblyman Michael Montesano and Clare Trollo, Hicksville resident and Gold Coast Public Library Adult Program Coordinator, raffle gifts to donors at the Assemblyman’s community blood drive on July 23.

Assemblyman Michael Montesano (R,I,C-Glen Head) would like to thank residents, Long Island Blood Services and the Gold Coast Public Library for making his July 23 community blood drive a success. Overall, 37 units of blood were collected, and as a reward for their valuable gift, all donors received two tickets to an upcoming New York Mets game from the Long Island Blood Services. Also at the blood drive, gift certificates to Subway and Caggiano’s Gourmet Market donated by the Assemblyman were raffled off to donors, as well as a gift certificate courtesy of the Fishery.

“I would like to thank everyone who participated in my community blood drive,” said Montesano. “Our regional blood banks are always in need of donors. The blood donated this week may well save someone’s life today, and I’m truly pleased so many of our residents came out to support this great cause.”
