Assemblywoman Michelle Schimel Announces Coats for Kids and Veterans
November 12, 2010
Great Neck – With winter fast approaching it’s that time of year again when Assemblywoman Michelle Schimel asks her constituents to participate in the Coats for Kids Drive. The program is sponsored by the National Cleaners Association and Randi’s Cleaners in Mineola. Assemblywoman Schimel will also be collecting coats for veterans that will be distributed at the Veterans Stand-Down on November 22 at the New York State Armory in Freeport.
Please donate your gently-used outerwear for children and adults. Donated coats will be cleaned free of charge and then distributed to agencies who help needy children and their families.
Donations can be dropped off in boxes at the locations below:
- Great Neck Senior Citizens Center, 80 Grace Avenue, Great Neck
- Herricks Community Center, 999 Herricks Road, New Hyde Park
- Assemblywoman Schimel’s District Office, 45 North Station Plaza, Great Neck
