Assemblywoman Michelle Schimel Sponsors Food Drive

Great Neck, New York – Assemblywoman Michelle Schimel is partnering with Long Island Cares to sponsor the second annual Legislative Food Drive in the 16th Assembly District to help meet the needs of the 300,000 plus food insecure Long Islanders and the unexpected need of the families affected by Superstorm Sandy.
Needed items include non-perishable foods, personal care items, baby diapers, pet food, paper goods, new blankets, and household cleaning supplies. Items can be dropped off from now until
March 31 at Assemblywoman Schimel’s District Office located at 45 North Station Plaza, Suite 203 in Great Neck. Collection boxes are also available at the following locations: Great Neck Senior Center located at 80 Grace Avenue, the Herricks Community Center located at 999 Herricks Road, and the Port Washington Community Chest located at 382 Main Street.
