Great Neck, New York – Assemblywoman Michelle Schimel was a guest speaker at the Nassau Region of Hadassah’s board meeting on Monday, September 23rd. Assemblywoman Schimel and Stacey Scapone, the Executive Director of the Women’s Fund of Long Island, discussed the Women’s Equality Act. The discussion focused on how the act will strengthen anti-human trafficking laws, help women achieve pay equity, and protect a women’s right to make decisions about her health care needs.
