Nily Rozic
Assembly District 25

Biography
Nily Rozic

Assemblywoman Nily Rozic was elected to the 25th Assembly District in November 2012, representing neighborhoods in northeast Queens, including Flushing, Queensboro Hill, Hillcrest, Fresh Meadows, Oakland Gardens, Bayside and Douglaston.

Assemblywoman Rozic was born in Jerusalem and raised in Queens, where her dedication to public service to create meaningful change began at an early age. Prior to her election to the Assembly, Assemblywoman Rozic was active in her community, serving on Community Board 8 as a member of the Transportation, Land Use and Education Committees, as a member of Hillcrest Jewish Center and a member of the Townsend Harris HS Alumni Association.

Assemblywoman Rozic served as Chief of Staff to Assemblymember Brian Kavanagh, where she worked tirelessly to make a real difference in the lives of everyday New Yorkers by protecting senior centers and programs from drastic cuts, increasing parkland and open space, expanding neighborhood bus service, and fighting to bring much-needed reform to Albany.

A graduate of New York University, Assemblywoman Rozic lives in Fresh Meadows.
