Multilingual senior guide includes hundreds of local district resources hundreds of senior resource guides distributed at senior centers

Bayside, NY – Today, Assemblywoman Nily Rozic (D,WF-Fresh Meadows), State Senator Toby Ann Stavisky (D-Bayside) and local community leaders visited seniors at the Bayside Senior Center to announce the availability of a Senior Resource Guide, a reference to better serve seniors, their families, and caregivers in Queens.

“My district has some incredible resources for seniors and caregivers, and my Senior Resource Guide helps share those programs with families across the district,” Assemblywoman Nily Rozic said. “I hope that by sharing all that this community has to offer, seniors can take advantage of local senior centers, health facilities, and social services organizations.”

“I want to thank Assemblywoman Rozic for providing older New Yorkers with lists of programs with which they can take advantage,” State Senator Toby Ann Stavisky said. “This resource guide by Assembly Member Rozic will serve as an important tool for many individuals.”

Compiled and printed this year, Rozic’s Senior Resource Guide lists many services to help seniors, including advocacy organizations, caregiver support resources, consumer protection agencies, legal assistance programs, transportation and housing resources, and community centers.

Available in both print edition and online, Rozic’s office plans to provide it in additional languages including Chinese and Korean. Anyone interested in obtaining a copy should call Rozic’s district office at 718-820-0241.
