Assemblyman Pete Lopez (R,C,I-Schoharie) honored Cadet Mike Schiller last week, during West Point Day in the Assembly chamber. A native of Germantown, Schiller graduated high school in 2004 and is currently enrolled at West Point where he studies Engineering and participates in extracurricular events such as Corps Swimming.
“I am honored to have these cadets join us here today,” Lopez stated. “Mr. Schiller is a shining example of what dedication, hard work and patriotism can make a young man become. My prayer for Mike and his colleagues is that they use their strength, training and knowledge to protect freedom and in doing so, work to be agents for peace in our country and in our world.”
