Nolan is one of a number of young men and women who were nominated for the award, and were interviewed by a panel of community leaders, including Assemblyman Lopez.
“I was pleased to be a part of this process,” said Lopez. “There were many fine young men and women who were considered for the award, all of them displaying excellent qualities and concern for their communities.”
Nolan was chosen by the panel after extensive deliberation, and will now move on to compete in a statewide competition.
“Nolan is a great example of what our children can do when they are dedicated and work hard,” stated Lopez. “He has a bright future ahead of him. I would also like to thank the Boys and Girls Club for all that they do for the young people of New York.”
