As part of his continued commitment to grassroots democracy, Assemblyman Pete Lopez (R,C,I – Schoharie) has scheduled a public outreach meeting for Wednesday, July 18th at 7 p.m. in the Susquehanna Meeting Room at Afton Town Library.
“Working together with the people of the community is the best way to fully serve the residents of the 127th Assembly District,” said Lopez. “I view my constituents as a powerful resource. Openly discussing community issues is the only way to effect positive change.”
At the meeting, Pete will give a brief overview of the happenings in Albany, and then ask members of the community to share their concerns and priorities. Assemblyman Lopez is holding this session in order to strengthen awareness of, and attention to, local and state issues.
“Change starts right here, in the community,” Lopez stated. “I am looking forward to this meeting and I encourage everyone from the area to attend.”
