In a continued effort to promote grassroots democracy, Assemblyman Pete Lopez (R,C,I – Schoharie) has scheduled a public outreach meeting for Wednesday, August 15 at 7 p.m. in the Sidney Civic Center.
“Change starts at home,” said Lopez. “Keeping a focus on local issues is critical, and the best way to do that is to keep an open line of communication with residents and community leaders.”
At the meeting, the Assemblyman will give a brief overview of the happenings in Albany, and then ask those in attendance to share their concerns and priorities. Assemblyman Lopez is holding this session in order to strengthen awareness of, and attention to, issues affecting our homes, families and businesses.
This is the fifth such meeting the Assemblyman has held within the district. The meetings remain a high priority to his office as he works to give serious attention to the unique needs of the communities within the 127th Assembly District.
“Open discussion and sharing of ideas and opinions is vital to the continued prosperity of our region,” said Lopez. “I look forward to meeting with my friends and neighbors in the Sidney area.”
