Assemblyman Lopez Stops To Admire “Catskill Cats” In Downtown Catskill

September 12, 2007
On his way through downtown Catskill, Assemblyman Pete Lopez (R,C,I – Schoharie) and his wife Lisa, who took the picture, stopped to admire the Catskill Cats, including the one in front of the Daily Mail on Main Street.

Fifty cats painted by local and national artists are exhibited throughout the Town of Catskill until September 22nd. The painted cats will be auctioned off on Sept. 23rd at the "Cats Meow Auction and Gala" in order to support Animalkind, a non-profit organization, dedicated to the non-proliferation of unwanted animals.

“This has been a great effort! Let's keep spreading the news about the auction,” said Lopez.
