Assemblyman Lopez Announces Extension For STAR Applicants
October 24, 2007
Assemblyman Pete Lopez (R,C,I – Schoharie) has announced that the Assembly passed legislation that will extend the deadline for the STAR rebate program from November 30 to December 31 of this year.
“This is a great chance for anyone who has not sent in their application yet,” said Lopez. “All property owners who are eligible should apply for their rebate check as soon as possible.”
Applications have been mailed out to homeowners, but if you need another copy, or more information, go to http://www.tax.state.ny.us/star/2007/ or call 1-877-678-2769.
“All homeowners should take advantage of this opportunity. I know that property taxes present a serious burden for property owners and I will continue to fight for relief,” Lopez stated.
