Assemblyman Lopez meets with students and representatives of Schoharie County Liberty Partnership Program in his legislative office in Albany.
Assemblyman Pete Lopez welcomed local students from the Schoharie County Liberty Partnership Program this week. The program is a partnership with SUNY Cobleskill and area school districts, which provides mentoring, workforce training and drop-out prevention services for over 14,000 students annually. “This program has a proven track record of making a difference in the lives of many young adults in our community,” said Assemblyman Lopez, who has been a longtime supporter of the program, actively working with the state Department of Education to maintain the program. “Clearly, the young people who participate emerge with clear purpose and strengthened opportunity. This program is a model for how the state can partner with our schools to bring out the best in our kids.”
