Assemblyman Pete Lopez Welcomes SkillsUSA To Albany

Assemblyman Pete Lopez (R, C, I – Schoharie) (pictured above, far left) welcomed local students from SkillsUSA to the State Capitol this week. The Assemblyman met with the students to discuss their school-based program, which aims to provide professional development, mentoring, workforce training and volunteer service to high school students.
Part of 15,000 school chapters across the nation, SkillsUSA serves more than 300,000 members, including the student State Officers pictured above, Ashley Myers from Cobleskill (far right) and Jordan Gromyea (center) from Westerlo, who were chaperoned by John Fernandez (second from left) from Western Suffolk BOCES.
