Assemblyman Pete Lopez To Attend Conference On BOCES & Education Funding

Continuing his focus on the urgency felt by many schools facing fiscal solvency, Assemblyman Pete Lopez (R, C, I – Schoharie) will be attending a conference on BOCES and education funding hosted by Capital Region BOCES and QUESTAR III BOCES. Also joining the conference will be 13 schools from within the 102nd Assembly District.

“Quality, affordable education, which includes education funding, mandate relief and administrative flexibility, are hugely important as we try to improve our state’s education system,” said Assemblyman Lopez. “As I continue to meet directly with our schools and BOCES education leaders I continue to bring their feedback to the State Capitol and work to bridge a solution to the urgent need of reforming our education funding system.”

The conference will be held at Columbia High School’s Auditorium in East Greenbush, New York, on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. All members of the media are invited and encouraged to attend.
