Palmesano Assigned New Leadership Post, Committee Assignments

Assemblyman Phil Palmesano (R,C,I-Corning) has been assigned to a new leadership post by Assembly Minority Leader Brian M. Kolb (R,C-Canandaigua). Kolb has appointed Palmesano Secretary of the Assembly Minority Conference.

“I am excited to continue as part of the leadership team in this new role,” said Palmesano. “I appreciate the trust and confidence Leader Kolb has shown in me and look forward to working with my colleagues to advocate for policies that will energize our economy and alleviate our tax burden.”

Additionally, Palmesano has been reappointed Ranking Minority Member of the Committee on Energy.

“As Ranking Minority Member of the Energy Committee, I remain focused on seeking solutions to New York’s complex energy issues,” said Palmesano. “Providing affordable and reliable sources of energy for our businesses and families across New York State must be a top priority, and I look forward to continuing my advocacy on that front.”

In addition, Palmesano was recently appointed to the Tourism, Parks, Arts and Sports Development Committee.

“I am excited to be a member of the Tourism, Parks, Arts and Sports Development Committee. As an Assembly representative whose district encompasses well-known attractions such as the Corning Museum of Glass, Watkins Glen International, the Finger Lakes, and our world-class wineries, distilleries and craft breweries, I look forward to being an advocate for these industries and our region,” said Palmesano

Palmesano also will continue to serve on the following Assembly Committees: Corporations, Authorities and Commissions; Libraries and Education Technology; and Real Property Taxation.
