Assemblyman Phil Goldfeder on Governor Cuomo’s State of the State Address
January 9, 2013

“I am honored to join Governor Andrew M. Cuomo for another year in excellent service to the people of the New York State. Once again, in his annual State of the State Address, Governor Cuomo has expressed a concrete vision to achieve our long-term goals and provide a strong future for all New Yorkers. The governor and his colleagues have done an excellent job in outlining an agenda to help us reach that future and tackle the issues that matter most for middle class and working families.”

“Today Governor Cuomo has set the tone for this year’s legislative session and now we turn our focus toward drafting an on-time, fiscally responsible state budget that will work to close our deficit without overburdening the middle class and poor. This session we will continue to keep fighting to secure vital federal aid for victims of Superstorm Sandy and small businesses, and further establish any preventive measures for possible future disasters.”

“We’ve already proven that Albany can get strong results in a bi-partisan fashion in order to make life better not only for all New Yorkers but for the families of Southern Queens and the Rockaways. I will continue to work closely with Governor Cuomo and the members of the New York State Senate to achieve the goals set today and to keep our momentum moving forward.”
