Assemblyman Ray Walter speaks to attendees at his town hall meeting at the Amherst Center for Senior Services.

Assemblyman Ray Walter (R,C,I-Amherst) recently hosted a pair of community town hall meetings. The first was held at the Amherst Center for Senior Services, and an evening session was held at the Harlem Road Community Center. The events allowed Assemblyman Walter to connect directly with local constituents and gain invaluable input on the most important issues in the community.

“Democracy is at its best when representatives speak directly for their constituents, and these town hall meetings equipped me with the feedback I need to be as responsive as possible,” said Walter. “The most enjoyable part of being a legislator is meeting with the hardworking men and women that trust me to speak for them in the State Assembly. I thoroughly enjoyed these events and hope those in attendance found them as informative and rewarding as I did.”
