Kingsboro Psychiatric Center Statement

"I am proud to have been part of the team, with the Assembly Brooklyn Delegation and Speaker Silver, which was successful in removing language from the state budget that would have closed the Kingsboro Psychiatric Center. However, while I am pleased with the results of our hard work and am also happy with the allocation of funds for SUNY Downstate in the budget being passed today, there is much work to be done. My constituents can be certain that I will continue my tireless efforts to ensure that "health care restructuring" in Brooklyn is done in a manner that reflects the needs of patients, their families and workers."
