Schimminger Announces Internship for College Students
December 27, 2004

A limited number of internships for college students are available for the spring semester in the district office of State Assemblyman Robin Schimminger.

The volunteer internships involve approximately 10 hours of work a week during regular business hours, and duties may include researching legislation, responding to constituent requests for service or information, planning and executing special projects, and organizing community events. Because a legislative office addresses a broad range of issues, all academic majors are eligible.

Assemblyman Schimminger is the Chairman of the Assembly Committee on Economic Development, Job Creation, Commerce and Industry, and also serves on the following committees: Codes; Health; Rules; and Ways and Means. He represents the 140th district, which includes Kenmore, the City and Town of Tonawanda, and North Tonawanda, in the State Assembly.

Interested students should contact the Assemblyman's district office at 3514 Delaware Avenue, Kenmore, New York 14217 (873-2540).
