Assemblyman Robin Schimminger (D-C-I-Kenmore) announced today that the New York State Library has awarded construction grants to three local libraries.

The City of Tonawanda Public Library on Main Street in Tonawanda has been awarded $36,597 to be used for the replacement of sidewalks and installation of a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) System.

The Town of Tonawanda Kenilworth Branch Library on Montrose Ave. in the Town of Tonawanda will receive $83,622 to replace the roof, install ceiling insulation, reconstruct the parking lot and driveway, and install an RFID system.

The Town of Tonawanda Kenmore Branch Library on Delaware Road in Kenmore has been awarded an $85,779 grant to reconstruct the 7,600 square-foot parking lot, and install an RFID system.
