Assemblymember Sam Roberts: Assembly Increases AIM Funding for Local Municipalities
March 8, 2013
“Easing the tax burden for Central New York’s hardworking families is one of my top priorities. The Assembly’s budget includes a 10 percent increase in Aid and Incentives to Municipalities (AIM) funding, which will hold steady for the next three years. Central New York’s municipalities have seen their costs continue to rise over the years, while they have not seen an AIM increase since the 2008-09 budget. This additional aid will help them balance their budgets and ease the load on taxpayers, and I am committed to ensuring this increase is included in the final budget.”
