Assemblymember Sam Roberts Helps Secure Funding to Rehabilitate Infrastructure
March 25, 2013
“For the first time in five years, the 2013-14 state budget includes a $75 million increase for the Consolidated Local Street and Highway Improvement Program (CHIPS). This vital funding will go a long way to rehabilitate infrastructure while strengthening our economy and creating good-paying local jobs.
“Central New Yorkers deserve safer and more reliable roadways and bridges, but many local governments can’t afford to make necessary repairs and upgrades. This investment will take the burden off of municipalities and save taxpayer money in the future.”
