Assemblywoman Sandy Galef is eager to talk with her constituents about various issues of local and statewide concern. In order to do this she will be hosting several “Town Meetings” between January 27 and February 3 within her 90th Assembly District.
At the meetings Galef will address her agenda for the new legislative session – which involves a great deal of reform – as well as any other issues that may be on the minds of those who attend. She particularly looks forward to hearing ideas from her constituents in regards to school financing, one of her major issues this legislative session. Galef will also discuss changes that have occurred since Governor Eliot Spitzer’s recent inauguration.
Six meetings are scheduled in the towns of Ossining, Cortlandt, Kent, Philipstown, Putnam Valley, and the city of Peekskill.
“I look forward to meeting with and hearing from my constituents as this legislative session gets underway,” said Galef today. “It is of utmost importance to me that I understand the opinions and interests of my district through the eyes of those who live here. I look forward to debating and exchanging ideas at the upcoming Town Meetings.”
