Assemblywoman Galef Invites Community to District Office for Open Conversation
Constituents invited to discuss issues & topics of interest
February 11, 2010
Assemblywoman Sandy Galef is hosting two Open Houses at her district office location at 2 Church Street in Ossining. The first will take place on Thursday, February 18th from 10am-2pm. The second one will be on Friday, February 26th from 12pm-5pm. The doors are open for anyone to come and speak with the Assemblywoman about anything of interest, whether local, regional, or statewide. No appointment is necessary. “I am looking forward to hearing from my constituents in a low-key forum to find out what is on their minds. My town hall-style meetings which I recently completed for this year were one way I regularly reach out to community members for open conversation. I heard a lot about property taxes, ethics, health care, and the state of the state budget,” said Galef. “I hope others who were not available for those meetings will come to my district office during these open houses to offer their ideas and suggestions. Also anyone who may need help working with state agencies is welcome to attend as well.” Galef’s Assembly District includes the Towns of Ossining, Cortlandt, Kent, Philipstown and Putnam Valley, the City of Peekskill, and the Villages of Briarcliff Manor, Ossining, Croton, Buchanan, Nelsonville, and Cold Spring. For more information about the Open House or to request directions, contact Assemblywoman Galef’s district office at 914-941-1111 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
