Assemblywoman Sandy Galef and 19 Assembly Colleagues Storm Governor’s Office
Majority assembly members demand meeting on state budget stagnation
May 12, 2010
New York State Assemblywoman Sandy Galef (90th AD) with at least 19 of her Majority Assembly colleagues have stormed Governor Paterson’s office on the second floor of the State Capitol requesting an immediate meeting with him on the status of the New York State Budget. The legislators are intent on getting some movement on the state spending plan, which is almost six weeks late, as they believe no conversation has taken place in weeks. “The lack of an approved budget is having serious economic implications for all New Yorkers,” said Assemblywoman Galef. “We have had enough waiting and we demand action be taken by all sides.”
