Assemblywoman Galef speaks with Dr. James Langlois from PNW BOCES.
In particular, Langlois explains the benefits of consolidating educational programs between districts, so that vocational education, special education, technical education, and professional development programs can be made available to the maximum number of students, teachers and administrators. Another topic they cover in their discussion is methods by which organizations like BOCES can save school districts significant money by making a variety of systems more organized and efficient, and consolidating service delivery.
“In these economic times,” Galef said, “it is essential that we find ways to save money where we can while not compromising the quality of our youth’s education. BOCES is doing a great job of offering exceptional opportunities to young people in our area, and coordinating services.”
