
On Sunday, April 22, 2012, Assemblywoman Sandy Galef will be screening video footage of her recent trip to Pennsylvania to learn more about hydraulic fracturing for natural gas, commonly known as hydrofracking. The Assemblywoman traveled to Bradford County, PA, in February to meet with residents and see firsthand how hydrofracking has affected their communities. The event will feature an approximately one hour movie of footage taped during the trip followed by a conversation between the Assemblywoman and the attendees as to their thoughts and how the hydrofracking process could impact New York. Assemblywoman Galef will host a second movie screening next Friday, April 27, 2012 at the Ossining Public Library. The event details are as follows:
