July 3, 2012

Buffalo – Today, July 3, 2012, New York State Assemblyman Sean Ryan released the following statement applauding Governor Cuomo’s letter to Homeland Security Secretary Napolitano urging Homeland Security to implement a pre-clearance pilot project at the Peace Bridge:

“Fast-tracking the implementation of pre-clearance at the Peace Bridge will mean less wait-time, less congestion, and less idling for trucks that cross the Peace Bridge. This will be good news for those living on Buffalo’s west side. Improving air quality near the Peace Bridge is one of my top priorities, and Homeland Security should follow Governor Cuomo’s recommendation and work quickly to implement pre-clearance, in order to improve the health of people who live near the Peace Bridge. I thank Governor Cuomo for his leadership on this issue, and for working to improve conditions at the Peace Bridge.”
