Assemblyman Silver Statement on Reopening of Millennium High School
November 20, 2012
"I am very pleased that Millennium High School will return to 75 Broad Street ahead of schedule after it was forced to close in the wake of Hurricane Sandy. I have been advocating for the students at this excellent school to return home and I look forward to having them back in Lower Manhattan next week. This school was created after the tragedy of 9/11 and it serves as a symbol of resilience and rebuilding. As students return following the devastating storm, that symbol is renewed."
