Silver Chairs Assembly Hearing on 9/11 Insurance Issues
January 14, 2003

Assemblyman Sheldon Silver (center) listens to testimony at a recent Assembly hearing that explored whether insurance has been available and affordable for business and residents in Lower Manhattan since 9/11. The session was part of a series of hearings chaired by Silver last fall to explore a wide range of unresolved issues related to the September 11 attack. Other hearings looked at the overall recovery effort; transportation and infrastructure; and the progress of design and planning efforts. Also pictured are Assemblyman Ivan Lafayette (left) and Assemblyman Alexander B. “Pete” Grannis.
