Assemblywoman Mayer introduces her resolution mourning the death of former New York State lieutenant  governor Alfred DelBello to the assembly floor for passage. "As county executive he continued to distinguish himself with his high standards and his creative mind about what was best for the county, he established the Bee-line bus the first county wide county owned public bus service, he rebuilt the old Grassland hospital as the Westchester County Medical Center, he arranged for a path breaking garbage to energy plant which was brand new at its time, and I know from a personal point of view, he took a good idea that my mother had to begin an information center for people to call and ask questions of government and he created it as an agency of Westchester County, the Westchester County Information Center, he also took the ideas of creating an office of Women and an Office for Domestic Violence and he made them part of County Government, he was well respected throughout the county on a bipartisan basis for his high standards, intelligence and enthusiasm," said Assemblywoman Mayer.
