Assemblyman Steve Hawley (R,I,C-Batavia) is calling on interested applicants to file for the Correction Officer Civil Service exam scheduled for April 14, 2007. The deadline to apply is February 26.
Correction officer positions are located throughout the state in various correctional facilities. Upon successful completion of the one-year officer traineeship, an officer will earn an annual salary of $41,348.
“Our correctional system is in need of capable individuals who can meet the challenges of this important occupation,” said Hawley. “Correction officers perform a variety of significant functions that make this state’s correctional system one of the finest in the nation.”
