Assemblyman Steve Katz (R,I-Yorktown) is announcing two Town Hall Meetings for constituents of the 99th Assembly District to come and discuss the state budget with their new representative. The Town Hall Meetings will be held in two locations to better serve constituents.
“One of the promises I made was to be available for constituents to meet directly with me. Through my Mobile Office Hours, constituents can walk up and talk with me one-on-one, but there are many larger issues, such as the state budget, which are important for all of us to discuss openly and together. I hope residents and employers will come to one of these Town Hall-style meetings and share their thoughts with me,” said the assemblyman, who will be sharing his first impressions of Albany and the legislative and budgetary process at each town hall meeting.
Two Town Hall-style meetings have been scheduled for the month of February. The first will be held at the Mahopac Library on Tuesday, February 22, 2011. The second will be held at North Salem’s Ruth Keeler Memorial Library on Thursday, February 24, 2011. Both meetings will begin at 6:30 pm and, after brief remarks by the assemblyman, constituents will have the opportunity to ask questions, share their views, and highlight issues of importance to them.
