Assemblyman Steve Katz (R,C,I–Yorktown) would like to extend an invitation to the people of the 99th Assembly District to continue the conversation on his pro-reform agenda at a special People’s Convention to Reform New York town hall meeting, featuring Assembly Minority Leader Brian Kolb, at the Mahopac Library on June 28, 2011 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
“Sadly, the Empire State continues to boast the second-highest combined state and local tax burden in the nation,” said Katz. “New Yorkers are threatened by economically and structurally inefficient bureaucracies and government overreach. With almost a million unemployed New Yorkers, there is still plenty of work to be done, and I would like you to join the conversation to help put New York back on the right track.”
The event is part of an Assembly Minority Conference statewide effort to reform New York to help fix some of the problems that continue to affect New Yorkers today. This special town hall meeting is open to all members of the public and media. Please extend this invitation to your friends and loved ones so that, together, we can get New York State back on the path to prosperity and economic success.
“I hope to see familiar faces and new ones at this special town hall meeting so that the voice of the 99th Assembly District can resonate throughout the halls of the Capitol,” said Katz.
