Katz To Honor 2 Dozen Summer Readers

Assemblyman Steve Katz (R,I-Yorktown) will be honoring two dozen local students for their Summer Reading accomplishments with a celebration at his District Office on MONDAY, September 26, 2011. All media are invited and encouraged to attend.
The Summer Reading Program, hosted by Assemblyman Katz and the New York State Library, encourages elementary, middle and high school students to keep up their reading during summer vacations. Studies have shown that students who read more during school vacations do better in school.
