Assemblyman Steve McLaughlin (R,C-Melrose) recently hosted the 2011-12 Class C State Champion Hoosic Valley High School varsity girls basketball team at the Capitol. Along with Assemblyman Tony Jordan and Senator Roy McDonald, McLaughlin offered the team a tour of the building and was recognized by the state Assembly and Senate for their staggering accomplishments both on and off the court.
"The young ladies from the Hoosic Valley varsity girls basketball team have given our community a lot to cheer about on the basketball court and will continue to make us proud as they build on that success outside of the gym," said McLaughlin. "It was an honor to introduce the team to the Assembly and have their achievements recognized by the Legislature. This is truly only the beginning for these impressive young adults. I know I speak for the entire community when I say that I can't wait to see what future success life has in store for these young ladies."
