Assemblyman McLaughlin visits with Chatham Elementary School fourth- grade students
at the Capitol.
Assemblyman Steve McLaughlin (R,C-Melrose) recently visited with fourth-grade students from Chatham Elementary School at the state Capitol. The children were given a tour of the building and a firsthand look at the functions of state government.
“It was really a treat to host such young students at the Capitol who were captivated by both the building and the discourse taking place in the state Assembly,” said McLaughlin. “Instilling an interest and reverence for public service at a young age is crucial in developing a future generation of leaders. They are an incredibly bright group of students with great knowledge of state government.
“I hope the time these students spent at the Capitol will be a memory they carry with them as they mature and decide how they will make a difference in their community as adults.”
